How We Select The OnMedia 100 List Every Year
The OnMedia 100 represents the top emerging companies that are creating new business opportunities in the world of media, advertising, marketing, branding, and public relations. The winning companies are staring down the entrenched, legacy institutions that have long dominated Madison Avenue and creating new ways of reaching their sophisticated and increasingly mobile audience.

Today’s digital media, advertising, and marketing startups are boldly charging into future, ready to reinvent the establishment with new, invigorating products and services. On the back end, analytics companies are gaining access to a richer, deeper pool of data and providing marketers and advertisers with consumer profiles that deliver on the promise of reaching specific audiences with meaningful, actionable messages.

Each year, the AlwaysOn editorial team, along with investment and industry experts across the globe scour the entrepreneurial community to identify the top 100 private digital media companies that are creating high-growth businesses that offer huge upside potential for investors. Companies are selected based on a set of five criteria: innovation, market potential, commercialization, stakeholder value, and media buzz.
